First edition of issue two if this influential Punk magazine. Quarto. 8 Mimeograph stapled pages, as issued. A very good copy, with light spotting, creasing and handling marks to the extremities. An excellent example of this rare early issue. Provenance: From the personal collection of Roger Towndrow, guitarist of the punk band 'Nipple Erectors' (later the Nips with Shane McGowan and Shanne Bradley). With a signed letter from Roger detailing the provenance.
NME acclaimed "Sniffin' Glue" as "the nastiest, healthiest and funniest piece of press in the history of rock'n'roll habits" and it became the true chronicle of the early days of British punk rock as well as pioneering the DIY punk ethic. Fearing absorption into the mainstream music press, Perry ceased publication in 1977 with issue 12. The early and half issues had a small print run and are rare.
