First edition, first printing. The "true first" Clowes export edition. Publisher's dark blue cloth with gilt titles and decoration to the spine, in dustwrapper. Top edge undyed. Fold out map to the rear. A very good copy, the binding square and firm. The contents, with some spotting to the text block edges, are clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed dustwrapper, adorned with designs by the author, which is very slightly faded to the red lettering on the spine and has some spotting and discolouration visible only on the inside edges and on the rear flap hinge. Not price-clipped (unpriced).
